Resources to Help You Benefit from Independent 529 Plan

TIAA-CREF Tuition Financing Inc. is committed to making you successful with Independent 529 Plan. Our support includes national advertising and direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns, a toll-free marketing and service center, interactive web site, and institutional field support.

As a member college you have a vested interest in the plan's success, so we encourage you to take advantage of the resources we provide to help you market the plan to your alumni and community.

We're happy to announce our "Steps" campaign, which is ideal for use by your regional alumni groups to promote Independent 529 Plan.

There are many ways you can use our materials to spread the word about your participation in Independent 529 Plan:

• Enclose our brochure or direct mail inserts in confirmation packets for reunions, homecomings, alumni day and other events;
  
• Set up a table or booth at events and use our banners, bookmarks, brochure and CDs;
  
• Include our articles and ads in your alumni magazines and websites;
  
• Use our logos and images in your print and electronic communication;
  
• And, of course be sure to promote Independent 529 Plan on your alumni webpage by adding our logo and a website link to your alumni webpage. Here's what to do:
  • Download our website-ready logo here (JPEG format)
  • Add our logo to a college savings information page on your website
  • Then link the logo to the Independent 529 Plan homepage: http://www.independent529plan.org

From complete customizable campaigns to ready-to-go mail inserts, to logo guidelines, we offer a set of flexible tools that you can mix and match to meet your needs. And to help you track your success, we will provide you with a customizable tracking URL (www.i529.org/yourcollegename).

Please note: The current number of member colleges is more than 270. Since we're growing all the time, check this page before completing your marketing materials to be sure you have included the most current number.
